We use durable (and, when possible, recycled) 316L Stainless Steel with 18k responsibly sourced gold plating. As stainless steel is a highly durable, medical grade metal, its premium properties mean that it is hypoallergenic, waterproof, scratch resistant and non-tarnish.

Care Guide

Our stainless steel jewellery is the highest quality to ensure that it keeps its shine and form for as long as possible. However, as with all jewellery, there are things you can do to maximise its potential.

To maintain its shine, using a soft lint free cloth, periodically wipe your jewellery. Ideally, store your Oia stainless steel jewellery in a dark, cool and dry place inside the Oia jewellery pouch to help reduce tangling and external damage. 

Try not to expose your jewellery to perfumes, lotions or any acidic liquids, as this may cause the plating to fade over time. Our plated jewellery is waterproof and will not tarnish. However, we would advise removing all jewellery while in water and avoid extreme temperatures. Please note, any plated jewellery may naturally fade over time. This is not a fault and can be avoided by caring for your jewellery as detailed above.  

To clean, using a dry soft lint free cloth, periodically wipe clean your gold items, this will keep your jewellery looking shiny. Ideally, store your Oia jewellery pouches in a dark, cool and dry place within an air tight box or bag to help reduce scratching and tangling.
